This show starts out slowly but builds up to an intriguing climax! Well worth watching if you have time to spare. If this show gets a season 2 then I will be watching! Nice work SYFY!

I think the hype behind this show was too much. It's NOT Game of Thrones! It is entertaining though! Comparisons to Event Horizon and Sunshine are fair but I wish it were scarier...

It does start off odd but After the first few episodes it really kicks off. I really enjoy this show! Great job!
  • Good Show - Not "Best Sc-Fi of All Time" but Goo

Best I can describe would be The Expanse + 2001 Space Odyssey + Event Horizon. Could the show be better in certain ways, sure. But all-in-all, it's a solid Sci Fi show. I've found every episode to be decent and it keeps me watching, wanting to know what happens next and how the plot develops. There's some boo hoo'ers out there, but if you're a Sci FI fan, like space stuff, and aren't super critical, give it a shot, you may find it worth watching.

First episode of "The Expanse" I was captured but I could not get past the first 20 minutes of this dreg....
  • I'm done, awful in so many ways

Every aspect is so bad that I cannot make myself watch another episode. I enjoy most sci-fy shows and movies of every caliber, but this show achieves new lows.

The series starts slow but the action keeps up. Everything after episode 4 is perfect. I can't wait to see how the story developes, there are still a lot of holes to fill.

It seems to me that people are trying to compare this show to Game of Thrones simply because George R. R. Martin wrote the novella that this show is based off. It's not Game of Thrones, but it is a riveting science fiction story; we don't get enough of those on TV.
  • Just another Syfy fail

Man am I tired of sci-fi where the fate of all humanity is placed in the hands of the stupidest, most unbalanced, unprofessional, and unpleasant handful of humans they could possibly have assembled. It was interesting and new when Alien did it -- *in 1979*. And if you're going to rip off a bunch of previous sci-fi, why would you pick some of the very worst sci-fi available, like Event Horizon, Sunshine and Prometheus? This does look surprisingly good for Syfy, but evidently when they'd spent all their budget on sets and graphics they had $1.98 left for cast and writers. This is one of those tv shows where non-actors spend way too much time standing around having banal conversations when they should be, you know, doing something useful or, heaven forbid, at least not stupid. I was bored and grumbling midway through the first episode, hung on through the 2nd episode hoping it might get better, and it did not. Just another Syfy fail.
