  • Dr WHAT?

New actors, new show runner, new writers have turned Dr. Who into a boring show that is preachy and juvenile. This is not Dr Who, it is the Sarah Jane Adventures, with a wise old woman leading a bunch of youths. There are no scary monsters or big bads, just monsters of the week. The previous seasons showed the dark side of the Doctor; he often had to make hard choices, and the series stressed how alone he was as a hyper smart, immortal alien who was nearly the last of his kind. Also, he often had romantic tension with his companions. Not with this series - everyone is happy and chipper, and there is no romance. What would have been groundbreaking would be not only to have a female Doctor, but have her develop romantic tension with a male, or even female companion. Not here, that would be too adult for this juvenile season. So boring and tepid.

Please fire the writers and save Dr Who! The new Dr is great but the writing and anti-american themes are going to alienate some of us Yanks

The BBC finally screwed the pooch. This is the first version of the doctor that I am completely unable to accept as Doctor Who. I think the BBC was more concerned about making the doctor a female than producing a believable character. Unless she regenerates into another body at the end of this season or I believe this will be the final Doctor Who season.

I absolutely love the new Dr. She’s as quirky as the Doctor that first got me into the show. I’m excited.

  • Not the same Doctor Who

While I believe the thirteenth doctor has a lot of potential, the direction of this show has changed for the worse. The stories are boring and the Doctor has yet to really “do” anything. Where’s the excitement, the climactic story lines, the great soundtrack? I am really down on this season.
  • Half Way through and....

So Season 11 is halfway through and. It is really underwealming, bordering on disappointing. I love the fact they were confident in casting a female doctor and I really do love Jodi's Doctor. I think she's doing a fantastic job! My problem with this series, is everyone else. The directing, the writing, the cinematography, the extras, everything is just sort of off par. I really hope the series picks up but until then, this season is turning out to be a dud.
  • Political correctness run amok

What made Dr. Who an exciting show is still there, suspense, lots of running, weird bad guys. But what is lacking is also apparent. Lack of clever writing, the episodes especially "Rosa" is too preachy. They are trying too hard to be multicultrual and politically correct. They need to go back to the format of using alien worlds and alien situations that reflect upon our society's ills. Instead of time traveling on Earth to demonstrate multiculturalism. As to the new Dr. Who, well I can think of many better actresses (in my opinion she should had been older) instead what they gave us was a Dr. Who that is more like a football/soccer mom. I rthink this Dr Who will be regenerating after this season unless the politically correct studio insists on another season despite dropping viewership.
  • Horrible

This used to be a great show but has been in rapid decline over the past two seasons. Now with the new everything (down to the writers), maybe it needs to take another break for a couple decades.
  • The First female Dr has been hobbled by PC..

    2
    By Bodalenko
I was expecting great things from Jodie but after 4 episodes its clear that PC has hobbled her performance and made her just look plain silly, and thats asides her silly wardrobe. She's a woman for petes sake, why is it wrong for her to act and appear like one? The 3 companions, all ticking the necessasry PC boxes, idea is a total failure and NONE have the personality of Pond, Rory, Rose or Clara. The 3 of them coyuld be sucked in to the vacuum of space and nobody would care! Sorry but he new direction is a step in the wrong direction..
