  • It never..

Really takes off!!! It’s definitely more of a suspense movie than a horror movie. And barely anyone is murdered or dies. There is just barely any tension. Don’t get what the critics were so excited about!!
  • Great movie with great message

  • Super 8

Evidently none of the people who reviewed this movie have ever seen “super 8”.... it is an amazing movie. Quit comparing everything to stranger things. Super 8 is a better movie than stranger things is a show. Just sayin

I don’t write reviews very often but, this movie was so much more than I expected! Very well done from the acting, to the cinematography, to well crafted plot. Absolutely loved this movie and the ending was perfection!

For the most part this is a nod to the 80s buddy thriller, mystery, horror genre. It looks the part, it's well acted and it ticks all the boxes a movie that everyone can watch around Halloween should tick. Except the last 10 minutes or so. Then it's like the filmakers saw The Mist or wanted a twisty shock value ending and it turns into what seems like an entirely different movie, it's meanspirited, too quick and too sloppy of a wrap up. There is a great scene between the villian and the "hero" within those final minutes and had that been the tone of the rest of the film it would have been an excellent moment. However it felt false and cheap. Had it not been for the ending I could have overlooked the pointless sideplots with the one kid's crush and the problems the kids are having at home that for some reason briefly pop up but are never further explored. It's worth a watch I suppose but there's nothing longstanding or original enough to warrant repeat viewings
  • Not what I expected!

How is this not in theaters? It was so amazingly good...I’m usually disappointed in horror and thrillers but this one made me jump and also made me scared to go to bed tonight. Well done!
  • Actually good.

I did get a IT/Stranger Things vibe. But there so nothing supernatural in this film. The kids in this movie were all around 15 so there older than the kids in IT and stranger things
