In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.

This elite black ops team is really stupid; they make a series of stupid decisions that is scripted in a series of cliched shootouts. The scenes are overwhelmed by a constant sociopathic rant of Mark Walburgh, which actually distracts from what's left of a film. The ending is supposed to tie it all together, but none of the plot, arc or sequence of decisions makes sense. Don't bother.
  • Better than the reviews it’s getting

I can truly say that I am a movie fan. It’s a great few hour escape that I try to pencil in weekly. When I sat down to see this movie I didn’t have any preconceived notions. It definitely shared some of the SALT & SWAT themes mixed with the movie where Bruce Willis had to get Mos Def through the city. The action scenes were very good. I would recommend the movie and have actually. ~ Give it a chance even if that means seeing it as a REDBOX rental with a coupon

  • The most overrated actor ever

By the 15 billionth time he snapped that rubber band on his wrist I was ready to explode. No discernible plot. Ending was so bad it’s laughable. Non stop yelling and manic behavior was intolerable. Waste of money.
  • Movie for high IQ

Most people can't keep up with the story line, hence the bad reviews. This is a movie you have to stay sharp and engage your brain to catch every detail. Finally a moive for High IQ's, thank you...
  • I’m not really sure

I thought that overall this movie was ok. I love Mark Wahlberg movies so that is why I decided to watch this. The storyline for the movie I thought was poor as well as the editing. Action was good.
  • Entertaining

I am glad I did not pay attention to the bad reviews. This was a fast action, entertaining movie with a twist in the end.
  • This is a good action movie that never stops!

Every body keeps whining about the lack of a story line but a movie like this doesn't really need one. If you rented or purchased this thinking there would be some some deep, complicated plot and every characters' background would be revealed then you must not watch a lot of action movies. This was exactly what I expected except there was a lot more action. Oh and of course there were a lot of nameless extras getting shot because thats what these movies ARE. If you are familiar with what "ACTION" movies are these days you would know what you were getting. I liked it, it kept me entertained, and I could name almost every weapon they used. Just GOOD FUN!
  • It's political with an unhappy ending

    By Don't buy rent
The overall tone of the movie is that America is weak and their is a left wing slant to the movie such as when the main character brings up Russian collusion. Waste of money to buy or rent.
